Zoe Parrish, a graduating junior who plays Dorothy for the second cast, is also bringing her personal experience to the role. “I think being in the show, being the character, it has a lot deeper of a meaning,” Felker said. “Being Dorothy, knowing what’s actually really going on, knowing what her emotions are, knowing what everybody else’s emotions are, it brings a much deeper meaning to the actual show.” She said when ALT announced the show, she was "beyond excited." Stepping into the ruby slippers herself helped her learn more about the show she already loved, she said.
